10 TIPS TO HEALTHY LIVING

1. ELIMINATE YOUR BAD HABITS

There is a certainty that bad habits (known and unknown to you) are preventing you from healthy living. If you want to be committed to your health, then you have to admit your personal bad habits, acknowledge their destructiveness and set about changing them. Whether it be emotional eating, drinking alcohol in excess, smoking, having a sedentary lifestyle, not getting enough sleep, poor water intake, eating junk fatty foods or another bad habits, it is high time you replaced these habits with far better and healthier ones. You had been glad you did.

2. EAT HEALTHY

Healthy eating can help you a great deal. Many people are still finding it hard to believe that their health is affected by what they eat but that is simply the factual truth! Diet plays a great role in the functionality of the body system and when diet is wrong, health also goes wrong. Most of the world chronic diseases embattled by many people are preventable through diet and healthy lifestyle. Eating healthy is a large concept on its own. Ofcourse, diet is not the only health factor, some other things also comes to play.

  • DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

Water eliminates toxins, increases energy, aids in weight loss, and promotes better brain function. Water is your most important nutrient. You can live only three days without it, and it is involved in every metabolic reaction in your body. Yet most of us don’t drink enough. When we are properly hydrated, our heart and blood vessels work much better, along with all of our other bodily functions—we think better, our strength and endurance are better, we feel better, we are healthier, and we will live longer. Try take a minimum of 2 litres of water daily. Get drinking!

4. GET ACTIVE & EXERCISE REGULARLY

Getting to exercise your body will add great value to your health. Exercise can improve your quality of life by firming muscles, controlling weight, strengthening the heart and lungs, improving circulation and digestion, burning calories, and building strength, endurance and flexibility. You wouldn’t need to do rigorous exercise like running round your neighbourhood everyday, or carrying heavy weight metals and the likes. Just simple walk in the cool of the day or some aerobic movements in your bedroom/sitting room can do the magical fitness and smartness you are looking for. Consistency of little steps can yield you great result.

5. SLEEP WELL

Lack of rest weakens your immune system and makes you susceptible to illnesses and diseases. Taking time out for quality shut-eye is a key component of healthy living. Research shows time after time that the average adult needs six to eight hours of sleep each day. If you aren’t getting a good eight hours of sleep a night, you may suffer from sleep deprivation which has a very negative impact on one’s health. Form the habit of quality rest no matter how busy you are. If you do not rest, your body will soon be laid to rest says Bishop David Oyedepo. You need to prioritize your health.
